By the development of the Hungarian Green Map ACC wish to encourage Hungarians to live in a more conscious way based on local solutions, utilizing local possibilities, using renewable resources, saving time and energy, conserving resources, developing communities, as well as participating in this mapping excercise. The project focuses on the entire area of Hungary, based on the network of local hubs of data-collectors, explorers, mappers.
The map serves two purposes:
(1) it seeks to assist everyday decisions giving a useful decision suppporting tool for consumers by the means of providing information on local green solutions for their problems/questions (such as where can I find the next shoe maker? where can I buy some home made jam nearby?);
(2) it gives publicity for green services (e.g., repair shops, farmer markets, public parks, selective waste collection points).
