Although interrupted by the Pandemic in April 2020, here were the Project Goals:
Participatory Mapping Training for Site Selection prepares students with an understanding of this mapping method, how to design participatory maps, and use the maps as a communication tool with numerous stakeholders.
Ultimately the students inform Storm Center Site Selection with relevant datasets, stakeholder knowledge and perceptions which they have gathered through stakeholder interviews. The mapping enables display of scenarios and conceptual designs.
Finally, base maps visualize the collected data sets and trainees can gather additional feedback on alternative scenarios.
The unfinished map can be seen here, hopefully someone will make progress on this soon.
