What is Green Map?

Green Map was born in 1992 when Wendy Brawer created the world’s first Green Map, a simple, printed map highlighting New York’s green spaces. The idea was so popular that Wendy officially launched Green Map in 1995 to help communities all over the world create their own Green Maps.  With the involvement of the O2 ecological design network, we developed a universal system that could be used - by anyone, anywhere - to create maps highlighting different types of green resources - ten years before Google Maps existed.

About

A Local Place Plan (LPP) is the community’s opportunity to have a say about the use of land and building assets in their local area. This first draft of the Dunoon and Kirn Local Place Plan relates to Community Council ward of Dunoon and Kirn. The process of creating the plan has been co-ordinated by Dunoon Community Development Trust in partnership with a wide range of local stakeholders and members of our local community.
