WATIF is a community development trust based in rural Clydesdale within South Lanarkshire, established in 2012 as a SCIO. Our vision is of a beautiful and vibrant place, with a great quality of life for all. We deliver projects that tackle the issues of greatest concern to our community.
Our aims are to: Encourage sustainable economic development by community owenership and creating local employment. Enhance health and wellbeing by a range of activities for different groups and abilities. Increase access to essential services by working in partnership and providing support. Improve the local environment and greenspaces by active maintemante and development.
Our six work programmes aim to respond to the unmet needs of our area and include facilities, essential services, community projects, environment and greenspaces, social enterprises and housing and land.
