Borders Wheels is a charity based in the Scottish Borders, We provide Community Transport across the Borders and have four locality bases: Berwickshire, Galashiels, Teviot and Tweed.  Borders Wheels is the unification of 4 Community Transport organisations in the Borders, Teviot, Gala and Tweed came together first and we brought in Berwickshire Wheels in April 2024.

Fair Trade Coffee House & Kitchen with Re-fill station and Fair Trade Shop

The Larder is now in its “forever home” at the Community Annexe in the grounds of the primary school where we have fridges and freezers to stock perishable items that we collect from the following supermarkets- Co-op, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Asda, Lidl and Marks and Spencers. Please come and help us reduce food waste that would otherwise go to landfill. You can have up to 10 items, as many items from the “rumble box”as you want and we even have pet food. All are welcome.

A local voluntary group raising awareness of climate change, and taking action in the  Berwick area to improve the environment. Monthly Repair Cafe - last Saturday every month.  Lots of opportunities to volunteer.

Galashiels Men's Shed is a registered Scottish Charity (SC045649) open to men of all ages and backgrounds. We help promote the well-being and quality of life of our members through recreational interest. The Shed is run by a Board of Trustees who are elected by the members. Come and join us and share your skills & interests; pursue your hobbies; learn something new; enjoy good company; help the community & charity; gain a sense of achievement or just have a cuppa and a laugh!

What do we fix? Well, if you can bring it in, we can take a look, with only a few exceptions. And if we can’t fix it, there’s no fee.

The South London Wood Recyling Centre

Scrap Store run by volunteers in Ely, Cardiff- containing materials from over 50 firms in South Wales that would otherwise go to landfill; including fabric, buttons, ribbon, cargo netting, sticky back plastic, cardboard tubing, scrap paint, plastic containers, wrapping paper, envelopes and more.

Furniture shop that sells good quality second-hand furniture, books and vinyl records.

Community cooperative based on repair, reuse and recycling.

 Scrap Metal Yard For Greater & North London - All Ferrous & Non Ferrous Metals

Cardiff Metals is a well established family business dealing in all types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. We buy and sell all types of scrap metals from our two yards within Cardiff. Our main yard is located between the city center and Cardiff bay where we can deal with every size of customer, with a 40 tonne weigh bridge and off road parking for all sizes of vehicle. Our secondary yard is located in Cathay's and has been dealing with customers for as long as 30 years.

Re:Make Newport is Wales' first permanent community repair and reuse space.  A volunteer led community space committed to bringing you free repairs and low cost loans of household items.

CAT is an educational charity dedicated to researching and communicating positive solutions for environmental change. We speak to government and campaigners about policies that would help create a zero carbon Britain; we train students in all aspects of sustainability; we help schoolchildren to understand the importance of action on climate change; and we give advice to householders on what they can do in their own homes.

The Tip Shop is located at Newport's Household Waste Recycling Centre and is run by Wastesavers.   

The Cabin is a community recycling shop run by Wastesavers and based at Lamby Way Recycling Centre. You can buy or donate pre loved items at the shop. You do not need to make an appointment to visit.

LASSCO Three Pigeons is our large Oxfordshire shop buying and selling all manner of architectural salvage - entire panelled rooms, marble fireplaces, garden ornament, doors, lighting, ironwork, museum cabinets, door knobs and much more. It is also the hub for our Reclaimed Flooring operation.
