As a long-standing homeowner here, there is the desire to live in a "perfect" neighbourhood.

As an older couple living our dream, we do find that our version of "utopia" has been a bit overshadowed by the changing neighbourhood

As the current homeowners, we're pretty content with the neighbourhood but don't love the reputation of the Rock Bay shelter.

This house used to house one family. Now it offers housing (eight rooms) to eight different people and there is potential for more subletting if they can acquire a permit for converting the stand-alone garage.

We are transplants from Ontario, as we both just retired. So, we love the quaintness of the neighbourhood.

I grew up in the house I live in now... recall how back then everybody knew each other. Nowadays, people act like they don't want to know their neighbours. The roads used to be gravel.

The current homeowners bought their home - a bungalow, averaging 2500 square feet - in 1976 for $32,000. Flash forward 45 years and the people next door bought their home, which is approximately the same size, for $650,000.
