Eco-Spiritual Site

起初觀察到有志於推廣「食、育、生活、療癒」的組織，常苦於缺乏固定空間據點作為發揮的場域，而到處參加市集擺攤、搭配其他議題組織的活動、或是商借空間籌辦課程。於是，我們在思考，在這座城市裡,是不是能夠有一個空間可以作為「友善社區社群的共好基地」，由此聚集起關心「食、育、生活、療癒」議題的團體，共同經營空間，甚至能在這裡育成友善的互助團隊，當這些力量被凝聚，議題被交流，理念被傳遞，或許會有更多人願意好好認識老物和人，以及生活的關係。

This gem of an island is our country place in the city! With vast lawns for your picnic pleasure, it has great views & the island is wonderfully car free, to boot. Governors island is open year round, so dress for the weather and enjoy! With an academic climate center in the future, there are already terrific programs that connect community, food and climate action, including Earth Matter. the Billion Oysters, Swale, the Circular Manufactory, GrowNYC and more.  There is an official Picnic Point on the south end of the island, but there are many great spots for a picnic.  There are places to buy food on the island too.

În cadrul Centrului Cultural „Sfântul Vasile cel Mare” sunt organizate diverse activități pentru copii, tineri și adulți, dar și „Dialogurile de la Arcalia”, eveniment la care sunt invitate diverse personalități. Aici a fost amenajată biblioteca parohială „Arhimede”, fiind dotată cu peste 4000 de volume.

This is a lovely contemplative space in all seasons. With the tennis courts expanding, there's no room for a Dance Oval in the new park, although it's currently quite common to see people dancing, celebrating or even holding a memorial here.  The labyrinth is by artist Diana Carulli. We hope another will be painted in the new park or nearby. It has been grounding to have it in the center of the park.

Greenhouse Holistic is a yoga/massage studio that offers spa treatments and workshops providing spiritual well-being. It has three location, the main one residing at 88 Roebling and North 7th, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This studio offers yoga, tai chi, belly dancing and pilates as classes to be scheduled. The also provide different workshops such as Acrobatics, Sampler Classes and Therapeutics. In order to schedule a spa or massage treatment, you must call and book an appointment. Greenhouse Holistic provides a calming atmosphere to its customers so they can grow spiritually and sensually. It is a great place to relax and renew one's body and mind. Besides care for your spirit the studio also sells organic beauty products including handmade soaps and lotions.

See this moving memorial, a beautiful example of outdoor artwork, which stands as a tribute to those who died in during the Great Irish Famine. The site has native plant gardens with more than 60 types of Irish flora and site-specific artworks including stones from the 32 different counties of Ireland. It also features an authentic Irish stone cottage brought over from Ireland. Hudson River views recharge your spirit as you walk south.
