Temporary Housing

Now functions as temporary supported housing and hosts the not-for-profit, volunteer run community cafe called Red Cedar Cafe.

The Howard Johnson holds a special place in my journey in life: representative of salvation. Before moving into the "Ho Jo", I spent a very difficult year living in a tent.

I was houseless for 10 months. The North Park Association provided me with a tent and I lived in Central Park and Royal Athletic Park. Now I am grateful for current housing at Howard Johnson in Burnside Gorge.
