Food Bank

Food banks assure food is not wasted and hunger is reduced by providing low or no-cost food for low-income or displaced people. May serve meals, provide ingredients for home cooking or deliver to housebound people, or be a single community fridge or other forms of mutual aid. Some allow participants to select their own provisions from the pantry shelves thus helping to ensure that the food taken will actually be consumed.
