Borders Wheels is a charity based in the Scottish Borders, We provide Community Transport across the Borders and have four locality bases: Berwickshire, Galashiels, Teviot and Tweed.  Borders Wheels is the unification of 4 Community Transport organisations in the Borders, Teviot, Gala and Tweed came together first and we brought in Berwickshire Wheels in April 2024.

The Larder is now in its “forever home” at the Community Annexe in the grounds of the primary school where we have fridges and freezers to stock perishable items that we collect from the following supermarkets- Co-op, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Asda, Lidl and Marks and Spencers. Please come and help us reduce food waste that would otherwise go to landfill. You can have up to 10 items, as many items from the “rumble box”as you want and we even have pet food. All are welcome.

A local voluntary group raising awareness of climate change, and taking action in the  Berwick area to improve the environment. Monthly Repair Cafe - last Saturday every month.  Lots of opportunities to volunteer.

Community food Growing, Skill Shares. 

An infrared Heat Survey can show you where your house is losing heat - enabling you to take action to reduce heat loss. This could save you money, help you stay warmer and help reduce CO2 emissions.

Our mission is to alleviate food insecurity in the Scottish Borders by creating a network of local food production and encouraging people to seek out locally produced food.

Sea the Change was established in 2018. We began as a group of dedicated volunteers, encouraging our community outdoors to enjoy and protect the environment.

Provides a variety of organically grown fruits and vegetables. Encourages a reuse and repurpose policy. Established wildlife habitats and environmental projects. 

Bryenich Coppice Management grows pea sticks, flower stakes, basketry willow, and hurdle willow, and coppice wood products. It makes small turned objects, as well as other green wood working and gardening items from its own sustainably managed woodland at Duns Spa Wood (behind Nisbet Rhodes). Assistance with tree planting, woodland maintenance, and small hedgelaying projects is available within the area of Scottish Borders and north Northumberland, as are courses on woodland safety, woodland management, treadle lathe turning, and other aspects of green woodworking.

ESR is an accessible, community-led social enterprise on the South East Scottish coastline on our off-grid 24-acre farm. We support people on their journey to wellness and abundance through high-quality interactive equine, nature and countryside initiatives whilst instilling our zero environmental impact ambitions.

Giving a second life to textiles, ReTweed produces unique, beautiful, useful products and encourage people to make a difference with their purchasing power - buying ethically and sustainably.
