En la Ciénaga Grande de Magangué, surgen conflictos hidrosociales debido a la contaminación del agua por vertimientos provenientes de fuentes domésticas, industriales, agrícolas y pecuarias. Además, la apropiación de terrenos por parte de ganaderos agrava la situación. La ciénaga, al inundar las viviendas aledañas, intensifica los problemas de salud y de habitabilidad en la zona, reflejando las tensiones entre el uso insostenible de los recursos y el impacto en las comunidades locales.
