Glasgow Eco Trust facilitates and empowers local people to come together to make improvements to their local community for the benefit of all.

Glasgow Eco Trust is a local environmental charity and social enterprise based in west Glasgow that coordinates and delivers a range of environmental activities and services.

Our Vision is of vibrant, thriving and resilient communities where people are inspired and empowered to get active, get involved and make a difference for their communities, future generations and the planet.

Our Mission is to protect and enhance the local environment and to increase the wellbeing and resilience of local people and communities.

Glasgow Eco Trust is based in west Glasgow and covers the neighbourhoods of Yoker, Scotstoun, Knightswood, Whiteinch, Thornwood, Broomhill and Jordanhill.

This area covers the seven community councils listed above and two electoral wards - Ward 13 Garscadden Scotstounhill and Ward 12 Victoria Park - and has a population of approximately 50,000 people.

We undertake work outwith these areas however this is usually in partnership with a range of other great organisations from across Glasgow and beyond.

Accident Blackspot - Clyde Expressway & Westland Drive

Accident blackspot on the Clyde Expressway where it crosses Westland Drive. Although there are traffic lights and a pedestrian crossing at this point, the traffic travelling west along the expressway is frequently in speedy 'dual carriageway mode'. There have been at least a couple of accidents at the lights in recent years. Used by a lot of children daily including a large number of kids from St Thomas Aquinas travelling to and from the Scotstoun shops at lunchtimes

Australian Rules Football Pitch

The park is now home to the fledgling Scottish Australian Rules Football League clubs, the Glasgow Sharks and the Glasgow Magpies, This is understood to be the UK's only dedicated Australian Rules Football ground. The pitch is elliptical in shape and has four poles at either end.

DRC Generations provide a non judgemental, relaxed, open, safe environment where we create learning opportunities and activities which address's lifestyle choices based on the complexities involved in substance use/misuse. We believe that investing in a Peer led approach to health promotion and prevention strategies ensures our current and future young population is informed and able to deal with relevant issues within their own communities.

DRC Youth Project

We provide various drop-in sessions, youth clubs, educational workshops and activitiy nights for young people aged 8-18. General information We are Situated at the Yoker Community Campus at 10 kelso place. We currently provide youth services 3 nights a week for young people in both the Yoker & Scotstoun communities.
