The Ahr-valley is a beautiful place, around 5 Km on the south of Remagen. It is highly appreciated by tourists, wine-enthusiasts, and lovers of outdoor sports. It features a variety of bike lanes🚲, which follow the riverside, with many places to visit. For example, one of the many restaurants, which serve fresh food and regional wine 🍷. If you are not in the mood for a bike ride, you could try hiking in vineyards which stretch along the valley. Whatever you decide to do, you will most certainly have a good time and a memorable experience.

The "Golden Meile" is located in the romantic Middle Rhine Valley directly on the Rhine. In the immediate vicinity you will find the remains of the famous Remagen Bridge, in whose towers the Peace Museum is domiciled. On the other side of the Rhine you can see the mountain "Erpeler Ley". From there you have a wonderful view of the Rhine Valley.

Linz and Remagen are two cities that stand on opposite sides of the river Rhein. To pass from one city to the other you can use the ferry. It operated from 🕰️ 06:00 – 24:00 daily. In case of floods, ice, storms, obstructions to navigation, or damages of the ferry, the sailing times cannot adhere🛑. The ferry can transport around 30 cars in a way from one city to the other 🚗.

If you want to cover long distances with the e-bike, you have to be careful not to run out of charge. In Remagen you can find this charging station on the left side of the tourist information point. There you will see one poster with two plug sockets underneath. Your bike will be protected from the weather, so you can use thischarging station even when it is raining🌧️. It is available 24 hours per day and it is for free!

The Erpeler Ley is a beautiful park up the hill in the town Erpel. It is located just in front of Remagen, on the opposite side of the Rhein. From there, you can enjoy the view at the Rhine River, Remagen city, and RheinAhrCampus. Erpeler Ley is the perfect place to go hiking or organize picnics with friends. There is enough free space for everyone to do whatever you like! You can enjoy the view sitting on the green grass, playing different sport games, taking photos, observing the animals at the zoo 🦚. There is also the Barbecue House where you can order something delicious.
