The picturesque village of Ardfinnan is located between Cahir and Clonmel along the River Suir. A large village green by the riverbank provides ample space for people to meet or play sport and is an access point for the Suir Blueway.

Arragh More Bog is situated roughly halfway between Carrigahorig and Birr. The site comprises a raised bog that includes areas of high bog and cutover bog. The entire Arragh More Bog comprises several interconnecting bogs, with till ridges running between deeper areas of bog. Arragh More (Derrybreen) Bog is a Special Area of Conservation as a site of considerable conservation significance, comprising as it does, a raised bog, a rare habitat in the E.U. and one that is becoming increasingly scarce and under threat in Ireland.

Ballina Riverside Pool is a heated 25-metre outdoor pool, open to the public in June, July and August with fully qualified lifeguards.

The Ballingarry Community Development goal is to act as a conduit between members of our community and relevant agencies to ensure the energy efficiency of houses and community buildings can be improved to current standards and to lead a community owned sustainable energy generation project. In collaboration with Energy Communities Tipperary Cooperative and Littleton Development Association, they are leading the ‘Community Led Just Transition North Tipperary’ Project that aims to mobilise community-led energy efficiency in communities around Littleton.

Ballingarry Community Development has been created in 2002. Running an I.T/Training centre, full day care service (Brightsparks Childcare), the company also sponsors a Community Employment scheme and administers the Senior Alert Alarms Scheme.  

Ballyporeen Community Council is a very active group working towards positive change for their local community. In 2022, they won a national Pride of Place award in the Population 300 – 1,000 category. The group was praised by judges for demonstrating “strong passion, initiative, and adaptability. They are ambitious for the future and love what they do and make a valuable contribution to Ballyporeen and adjoining communities.”

Community park and orchard developed as an amenity and biodiversity area by Ballyporeen Community Council.   The facility also leads into a community walkway around the garden and extending along the river bank and the GAA pitch.

The Beara-Breifne Way is Ireland’s longest national waymarked trail. The route, that has been created by local communities in a unique collaboration, crosses County Tipperary from North to South, from Lorrha to Tipperary. This walk across Ireland can be explored on foot, by bike, or on horseback. 

Operating from Donoughmore on Monday and Wednesday, Beauty by Nature offers massage, reflexology and reiki.

Birdhill Energy Team is one of the founding members of Energy Communities Tipperary Co-operative (ECTC). They joined in 2014 and have been very active in supporting the newer communities since. The Birdhill Energy Team are part of their multiple award winning Tidy Towns organisation. As a group, they access grants annually to carry out retrofitting works on homes & community buildings.

Men's Shed offer men of all ages a space to get together. Borrisokane Men’s Shed are running a Woodcarving Class on Tuesday afternoons and also have Computer Classes on Wednesday afternoons.

Borrisoleigh Track Attack was founded in 2014 to be a club based on community values. Their main goals are :

A teaching and learning organic farm with a particular focus on connecting community. 

Brú Ború, located at the foot of the historic Rock of Cashel, is an affiliate of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the Irish cultural movement which has over 400 branches worldwide. Brú Ború promotes its cultural programme through education, research, publications, exhibitions, performances and information service. They have a policy of co-operation with other cultural interests at home and abroad.

Cabragh Wetlands is the biggest single area of freshwater semi-natural floodplain habitats on the River Suir.

Walk by the River Suir from Cahir Castle to the Swiss Cottage and beyond along the Tipperary Heritage Way and St Declans Way.

Located at the Castle Car park in Cahir, Cahir Farmers Market hosts stallholders specialising in vegetarian goodies, fresh baked bread and savoury bread, meat stalls, apple farm stall with seasonal fruits, fish stall and more. The market takes place every Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

Very close to Clonmel, the Cannon Woods Loop is a 9.7-km loop trail near St. Mary's, County Waterford. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, this trail is great for hiking, running, and walking.

Cashel Arts Festival is a four-day contemporary arts festival set in the town of Cashel in County Tipperary taking place every autumn and showcasing music, dance, visual arts, film, theatre, workshops, family events and literature events.

Cashel Men's Shed is based in Spafield Family Resource. The group engage in various activities such as sports, carpentry and cooking classes. Opening Hours: Thursdays 12.00 to 2.00pm

Opened since March 2018, Chou's Cottage is an handmade gift and zero waste shop supporting about 70 small Irish designers and makers.

Community education on climate and biodiversity

A Men’s Shed is a dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting place where men come together and undertake a variety of mutually agreed activities. Men’s Sheds are open to all men regardless of age, background or ability. It is a place where you can share your skills and knowledge with others, learn new skills and develop your old skills. The shed is open on Monday and Friday from 10am to 12am.
