In an era where the world faces climate change and environmental challenges, promoting sustainable living has become a shared mission for communities everywhere. The Taiwan Vision Development Association, following its principle of "sharing the good," has launched the "Good Share Sustainable Living Lab – Ankeng CBA Baseline Survey" project. This initiative aims to conduct in-depth interviews, research, documentation, and editing to comprehensively inventory the resources in the Ankeng area of Xindian, focusing on its culture, history, geography, industries, and landscapes.
The project is grounded in the CBA (Community-Based Approach) action manual, emphasizing resident participation and collaboration. We believe that only by thoroughly understanding the vulnerabilities of a community can practical solutions be proposed. Through resident-participatory vulnerability analysis, we identify challenges in environmental, social, and economic aspects of the community, which helps shape appropriate strategies.
In the process of resource mapping, we focus on reducing waste and hope to establish a net-zero green lifestyle model and habits among residents. By building a community resource database, we not only preserve valuable local information but also lay a solid foundation for future community development. Strengthening community identity and encouraging residents to actively participate ensures collective efforts to protect our home.
We are confident that through this project, the Ankeng area will progress towards sustainable development and serve as a model for other communities. With the support and involvement of various sectors, we aim to create a better future that leaves no one behind.
