CIFAL Victoria, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD) bring leaders and researchers from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Sweden together for training in community-based research, knowledge co-production, and leadership for climate action and the SDGs. CBPR is an approach to research that involves the active participation of actors, those whose lives are affected by the issues being studied, in all phases of research for the purpose of producing useful results to make positive changes.
