Our work is aimed at climate education and action and we believe in collaborative working. ACA was formed in 2014. It has approx. 25 volunteers. It runs a monthly climate cafe in Aberdeen.
Aberdeen Climate Action CIC was created in late 2014 by Alison Stuart and Erik Dalhuisjen, arising out of the need to prompt our government to take action in the light of the then upcoming Paris COP21.
We are a volunteer-run organisation that aims to inform and prompt action on climate change and sustainable practices in the North East of Scotland through awareness raising, education, partnerships and support.
Our Mission Our mission is to enable and facilitate the transition of the North East of Scotland to a sustainable Net Zero thriving region: It is to be the Voice of a Sustainable North-East.
Objectives -To provide information, advice and resources on Climate Change through our websites, social media, climate cafes and other public events. -To promote sustainable and net-zero policies and practices in partnership with individuals, community groups, companies and public bodies across the North East of Scotland. -To develop mutually-beneficial links with selected organisations at a national and international level.
