Assynt Development Trust serves and supports the seventeen townships of Assynt. We are the anchor organisation for the RLUP and a lead member of the Northwest 2045 group.
Our two part-time officers work on a variety of projects ranging from deer fencing play parks and Lochinver FC’s football pitch, the celebrated Cludgie project that stops motorhomes illegally dumping their chemical waste at the roadside, climate conversations, Assynt’s amazing covid response, community owned e-bikes, sustainable community tourism, food larder, seaweed project and a community led housing development that will be part of 1,000 homes build across the North and West Highlands.
