This tree is the first thing I see when I step out the front door of my house. In the past, it has been used to hold a bird feeder and during a wind storm, a branch from this tree broke the front gutter of my house. The tree is a prominent symbol and reminder that this was once a douglas fir forest. Overall, this tree has been a long-standing part of my front yard all the time that I have been here.
