I can see this tree from my patio. I often walk past this Garry oak when I'm running errands. Garry oaks are special to me because they remind me of continued lək̓ʷəŋən presence on the land. I find it admirable to witness how nature, such as Garry oaks and their ecosystem, can uplift Indigenous cultural traditions and land management practices!
