Where?

Falkland and Newton of Falkland Community Council exists solely to represent the views of the Communities of Falkland and Newton on all relevant matters including Planning, Policing, Fife Council services, Roads and Transport, Health, and any other matter where the views of the community residents are sought, or residents have concerns about.

All community councillors are volunteers and are resident within the community area they serve.

Falkland and Newton of Falkland Community Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held at 7pm at Falkland Community Hall except for the second Tuesday in June when the meeting is held in Newtown Village Hall.

All meetings are open to the public to attend. We discuss local matters from an agenda set by Community Council members, which reflect current and/or historic issues of local importance. Occasionally, these issues may also have relevance to the Fife Council area as a whole.

We’re a network of community groups and organisations. Our aim is to inspire and promote, connect and support community-led action in Scotland to address the Climate Emergency.
