Installation of a Raingarden Parklet, an innovative nature-based solution designed to manage surface water while transforming an area the size of single car parking space into a vibrant, educational, biodiversity and climate resilient public realm feature.

This pilot would serve as a flagship green infrastructure project within the Glasgow City Innovation District and a visible commitment to University of Strathclyde’s sustainability ambitions to make climate resilience an integral part of the masterplan design for their Heart of the Campus project.

It will also test and demonstrate the benefits of raingardens in alleviating flood risk and improving biodiversity in an urban setting to build the business case for further adoption of nature-based solutions.
