The Brechin Flood Protection Scheme combines direct flood defences with drainage upgrades and ecological enhancements to reduce flood risk in Brechin.

Measures include:

  • Direct defences, including 1.5 km of flood embankments and flood walls;
  • Upgrades to existing surface water drainage system including the Denburn Culvert;
  • The installation of three submerged pump stations; and
  • Ecological enhancements in the Inch Park.
