Our goal is to work with local communities in Argyll & Bute, to provide activities in relation to environmental awareness, recycling and reuse. Our Beaches and Marine Litter Project (BMLP), which has been commended by ministers in the Scottish Parliament, aims to encourage clean beaches and increase the access to clean beaches.
The core of this project facilitates community litter picks for all, which take place along verge-sides and shorelines, increasing accessibility to litter picking equipment through local partnerships. We also provide outdoor education workshops and beach cleans for schools.
Getting involved in a beach clean can be really rewarding. It can be a great opportunity to meet people and to work as part of a team with other people who are committed to making the local environment a better place.
We facilitate and advise community groups wishing to run their own beach cleans. We can lend equipment that includes litter pickers, gloves and black bin bags
Please get in touch well in advance to request equipment, if you want help or advice with organising a beach clean or want to find out if there is a group in your local area please Contact us info@grab.org.uk
