Planning for the PS 11 school garden began in the Fall of 2008 with the goal of transforming the school's "Big Yard" to include green spaces. From the Spring of 2009 to the present, parent volunteers along with students and school staff have constructed garden beds along the asphalt playspace's corridor inside the chain-link fencing.
