there is a variety of terrain and natural shelter from.the hills. The houses are mostly high above the river. The river doesn't often burst it's banks.

Yes, if you have right vehicle. Gritter comes up the road

Yes, small village with a village hall

No
Could more natural space be available or could existing natural space be better supported?
Land ownership makes this an impossible question to answer. We live on an estate the forestry clear fell large areas and then spray toxic chemicals on new planted trees which does nothing for wildlife habitats., Or run off from the hills.

I don't know

Probably

No idea what will happen, probably more drought and flooding. Less snow.
Can the critical systems and infrastructure (drainage, cooling, electric) cope with more frequent and extreme disruptive weather?

How do you think this place can be made more resilient?
Land use in more hands and more families living here. Having a village reservoir for drinking water. Places to keep stores of food for longer periods.
Do you have a vision for what you would like this place to look like in the future? Does it include how it might adapt to climate change?
Working with an equipment cooperative, and local food supply.
