The Highland Weather and Climate Story Map collects stories of lived experiences related to weather and climate in the Scottish Highlands. It documents how changing weather patterns impact our daily lives, livelihoods, and the environment, highlighting the human side of climate data and the resilience of communities in adapting to these changes.
These stories will stay available for residents of the Highland region to track how it is changing over time. They will also be incorporated into the first Highland Climate Risk and Opportunity Assessment, which will help to identify the priorities for action to respond, and adapt to the impacts of climate change across the region. Building a more resilient region will require innovation, new collaborations and working across sectors, and local knowledge will be key.
