Where?

The coast at Brora is experiencing increased stormy weather, leading to instability and erosion along the back shore. This is causing damage to the archaeological sites linked to the area's salt and coal industries. Thanks to the dedication and support of The SCAPE Trust, Clyne Heritage Society, and the Brora Salt Pans Research group, these vulnerable sites were excavated and the findings were preserved for future generations. Since 2009, The rate of current change has been the greatest recorded since the late 18th century. The Brora Salters help raise awareness of these issues at community salt-making events.
