Share a story of how you have experienced weather and/or climate at this place

This year i was planning out when i would do my foraging and thinking about community events to go along side. From memory bramble season was always through september and i to October. This year it started much earlier and they are all now pretty much fone or past their best. It was probably a result of the very hot summer we had, but it made me quite worried that the autumn months would be changing and we would have such a bountiful harvest. The apples also all seem to be ripe earlier. People i have spoken to have memories of picking apples and juicing them in the october holidays, but this year it again seems much sooner.

Have you observed the weather, climate, or natural environment at this place changing over time?

I have loved here since i was 3. And the past couple years are the first time i have found it too hot. It has reached very high temperatures that were uncomfortable t o go out in (especially for someone used to the cool scottish climate) i worry about how this could continue to rise in years to come

Have you done anything to prepare for or address climate and weather changes at this place?

I think time is the biggest investment i have made. Time to harvest and process produce as and when its ready. Adapting our habits and clothes to fit the changing weather conditions. And do as much as we can to limit our carbon footprint.
