This is a seasonal market and is geared toward 'grab and go' so more prepared foods and ready to eat choices. It's got the fabulous Alamo sculpture and is a convenient central meeting point (with #6 train) .

We invite you to experience the distinctive flavors of our estate grown heritage ciders. Shaped by our maritime climate's mild summers and tempered by the foggy mist rolling off of Discovery Bay, our apples maintain the qualities they've been treasured for by generations of cider lovers.

This gem of an island is our country place in the city! With vast lawns for your picnic pleasure, it has great views & the island is wonderfully car free, to boot. Governors island is open year round, so dress for the weather and enjoy! With an academic climate center in the future, there are already terrific programs that connect community, food and climate action, including Earth Matter. the Billion Oysters, Swale, the Circular Manufactory, GrowNYC and more.  There is an official Picnic Point on the south end of the island, but there are many great spots for a picnic.  There are places to buy food on the island too. 

The Secret Garden Café is an independent cafe in the heart of Bute Park, with big environmental values. They are a Green Key accredited business.

Wilderbee is a certified organic, family-run farm specializing in u-pick lavender, flowers, and pumpkins.

During the pandemic, we gathered outside and had wee park barbeques or picnics with friends. We still do it now!

Clerkenwell Kiosk is a park café in a former park rangers' hut, tucked behind St James's Church on Clerkenwell Green. It was set up by Clerkenwell local Rosie. Your kids and dogs are always welcome!

Garnethill Park is a beautifully-landscaped, partially-terraced public park in Glasgow City Centre's Garnethill area. Opened in 1991, the park has a large play area with wooden play equipment, small waterfalls running over rocks, low-bench seating for relaxing chats, & grassy areas with brick/cobblestone paths in between (please refer to accessibility note below). One of the park's beautiful features is its unusual lighting, made of square metal light-boxes created in a style similar to the architecture of Charles Rennie Mackintosh (a famous Scottish architect whose work can be found throughout Glasgow).

A small green space in Glasgow's Garnethill area, overlooking the M8, the West of the city, & the hills beyond. A lovely quiet space in the midst of City Centre, a nice picnic spot, & also a good alternative route to the Glasgow's West End.

Located just to the north of Glasgow City Centre, the Lambhill Stables Community Garden is bordered by the historic Forth & Clyde Canal on one side & Possil Marsh Nature Reserve on the other.

A beautiful community garden which has been built by volunteers & is now enjoyed by local residents & visitors alike. Run by Heart of Scotstoun (HoS) Ltd. (a registered charity), the community garden is part of Heart of Scotstoun community centre which also has events & a café (link to the other Heart of Scotstoun listing here on Glasgow Green Map, below).

Glasgow Botanic Gardens is a landmark botanical garden located in the West End of Glasgow. Just celebrating its 200th birthday in 2017, it features several glasshouses / greenhouses, the most notable of which is the iconic Kibble Palace.

Located between Pollokshields & Govanhill neighbourhoods, The Hidden Gardens is a safe, welcoming, accessible green-space.

Located in Glasgow's West End, this small community park has a range of play equipment, outdoor table tennis, basketball hoop, kick-about pitch, & picnic benches. It also has a mini orchard, as well as being home to a couple of rare Dawn Redwood trees!

A 5-acre wetland restoration site where coastal wetland ecosystems are being built across from the historical Graving Docks of Govan to capture carbon, rehabilitate soils, and support wildlife. The wetland eco-park aims to showcase for COP26, featuring regenerative farming practices that put nature at the heart of food production and includes event spaces to engage with the community.

Located in Glasgow's South side, Pollok Country Park is Glasgow's largest park (146 hectare) & is the only Country Park, in this instance the land surrounding Pollok House, within the limits of Glasgow. Its extensive woodlands & gardens provide a quiet sanctuary both for visitors & wildlife. Pollok Country Park is also home to one of Scotland's most well-​known national animals – the Highland Cow. The park is rich in rural history, formerly being part of the Old Pollok Estate & ancestral home to the Maxwell Family. The park is also home to the world famous Burrell Collection.

Robroyston Park Local Nature Reserve covers approximately 50 hectares of land, the northern half of which is designated as a City-wide SINC. This area has an attractive wild aspect that consists mainly of rough grassland, areas of wetland, a pond, planted trees. This variety of habitats makes the park suitable to support a rich diversity of wildlife.

Springburn Park has one of the most beautiful rockeries in Scotland, a garden of peace and three wildlife ponds.

Newly established community garden growing fruit and veg in the heart of The Bowling Green. Open weekly gardening groups and therapeutic gardening sessions as part of Urban Root's green care prescribing program.

Port Townsend Vineyards’ winery is located near the city’s southern entry. Featuring a new co-op production facility to support sustainable winemaking, our winery greets visitors entering Port Townsend by road and highlights the care put into the wine. All of the grapes grown locally as well as those sourced from top regional vineyards are cared for in this brand new wine production facility.

Born from the Battlefield Community Street Party 2009, this group has been making its way through a long to do list for helping make Battlefield an even better place than it is already.
