We are a small charity formed around our village hall in 2018. The Trustees are trying to make the hall more environmentally friendly and more efficient in line with CNPA thinking around climate change. This project is now considering becoming much more inclusive and thinking about an energy scheme that would include all the businesses in Dalwhinnie working together to achieve a low emission and energy provision system.

Our mission is to present the history of Eigg, both ancient and contemporary, which includes the history of the Isle of Eigg 's green grid and its net zero ambition. We are working in tandem with Solas Eige to raise funds to buy the Church of Scotland on Eigg to provide interpretation on these themes, including climate awareness. Comunn Eachdraidh Eige is responsible for overall interpretation on the isle of Eigg, which includes Eigg's museum of Crofting life and addresses issues of sustainability both past and present, and the Old Shop which provides an overview of our island's natural and cultural features, raising awareness of Eigg's green grid, and the issue of marine litter on our shores.

Cannich Growing Group

We are a group of growers in Cannich who are passionate about strengthening our local food economy, encouraging people to enjoy the health benefits of growing food, and inspiring our young people to get involved. We are an informal group who meet regularly to swap stories, seeds and tips. Currently we are consulting the community on creating a community growing space in the village. We have already planted a small pocket orchard with the children in the playpark.
