The Community Wellness Project - Little Free Pantry

This Little Free Pantry was built by the Community Wellness Project (jccwp.org) and is sited on the property of the Irondale Church. Both entities are grateful to provide our neighborhood with an opportunity for neighbors to help neighbors and to improve food security for families and individuals who may be struggling on any given day, especially during this time of the 2020 pandemic.
The Little Free Pantries are for neighbors helping neighbors. In our neighborhoods, they can be a resource for families and individuals of any age who are not easily able to meet everyday food and personal needs,
especially during this pandemic. Little Free Pantries are for those who have a need for food or a desire to give Organizations of all types are invited to adopt care of this pantry for a month at a time. You can start by holding a food drive and then organizing your members to tend to stocking and tidying on a daily basis.

• Canned soups - especially with pop tops
• Granola bars
• Shelf-stable milks (dairy and non-dairy)
• Peanut Butter
• Beef or vegetable stews
• Canned or otherwise packaged nuts
• Spaghetti sauce and pasta
• Baby-food vegetables and fruits
• Applesauce
• Cold cereals
• Raisins and other dried fruits
• V-8 Juice
• Fruit leather
• Small soaps and shampoos
• Feminine hygiene products - tampons and pads
• Hand sanitizing wipes of small squeeze bottles
• Canned beans
