Wing Hong Elderly Group (also known as Wing Hong Centre / Wing Hong Chinese Elderly Centre) is a charity organisation, a group established with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for the Chinese elderly based in the Glasgow area & promoting equal opportunities for Chinese elders in accessing social, health, welfare, & housing services.

Formed in 1989 with the help of the Social Work Development & the Ethnic Minorities Project, the group began to expand in 1992 by employing a development worker under the Scottish Office Ethnic Minority Grant Scheme. From 1993, Urban Aid funding was granted & in 1997 the project received grants from Glasgow City Council, which allowed the further expansion & development of services & facilities.

Combining daytime care re-sources with community facilities for members to meet with other Chinese people, Wing Hong also promotes good inter-generational & inter-cultural relationships.

Since 2005, 122 Hill Street, in the diverse Garnethill area of Glasgow City Centre became Wing Hong’s place of gathering.
