Where?

Led by the work of artist Eleanora Jaroszynska, in collaboration with Friends of Garnethill Green Spaces (FRoGGS), Garnethill Bread oven is a community project aimed to empower the local community to gather around the ancient practice of making wood-fired bread, as well as providing the opportunity to learn traditional building skills during the oven's construction.

Through crowdfunding & a grant from Glasgow City Heritage Trust, the oven was successfully built & in early 2019 a training session was held. From its first first firing, the oven (& the community-focus it fosters) was a big success - with over 60 people attending.

Garnethill bread oven continues to be an established local asset, with a programme of regular gatherings & community events.
