Where?

Founded in 1807, the Hunternian is the oldest public museum in Scotland. The Hunternian is home to an extensive, distinguished public art collection, & one of the largest collections outside of the National Museums. From Rubens to Rembrandt, the Scottish Colourists to the Glasgow Boys, its permanent collection alone is one of the best around, recognised as a 'Collection of National Significance', & the museum is one of Scotland's most significant cultural assets.

The museum also features one of the world's best collections of the work of James McNeill Whistler, as well as the largest single holding of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh (Scottish architect) & the Mackintosh House, the reassembled interiors from his Glasgow home.
