Morvern Community Development Company was set up in 1999 following encouragement from the Morvern Community Council to benefit the community of Morvern in Lochaber. Recent successes include the construction and commissioning of Barr Hydro through our energy subsidiary MorVolts. Our recent community plan (Live Life Morvern - http://www.morvern.org/live-life-morvern/) indicated a high level of community support for environmental issues and interest in achieving a carbon negative community with rich biodiversity and sustainable living. This is something that MCDC take into their planning for their work going forward and we are therefore very interesting in becoming members to benefit from shared learning with other communities from across the Highlands and Islands region.
