Where?

The Cromarty Arts Trust is a charity set up in 1987 to promote arts, culture and the environment in Cromarty, the black Isle and Highlands.

Our mission - We exist to foster the promotion, enrichment and preservation of our natural environment and cultural heritage by nurturing local artistic activity within Cromarty and the Black Isle.

In the past the focus has been very much on arts and culture side of our mission. I came into post in January this year and am shifting our focus to include the environment and the world around us into our arts activities. Given our coastal location, the vicinity of heavy industry of oil rigs and now new sustainable energy systems, we should be more aware than most of the need to bring our community's attention to our climate emergency, and increase awareness and engagement and encourage individual and group action.

We are based in Cromarty but draw in participation from the Black isle and beyond.
