Nimblefingers Project was set up as a constituted group to create opportunities for adults with additional support needs to come together in a safe environment to access and gain new skills alongside their community and peers. The Project promotes creativity and imagination by utilising small pieces of furniture donated by the public which would otherwise go to landfill.
The Project upcycles the furniture and then sells it with the money going back into buying materials for upcycling. This promotes not only an understanding and a change of perception on how we can reuse furniture and other household items but allows the people we support to be active members within their community. Promoting self worth, pride and a feeling of being part of something that extends past their own lives.
