Ullapool seasavers is a charity that is organized by a group of dedicated kids, for kids. Their moto is “People protect what they love” The group have come together with the mission to raise awareness of the challenges that are facing their local marine environment on the west coast of the Highlands, as well as helping to educate people about the sea and sea life, and to promote and celebrate how wonderful they know it really is.

Stronsay Development Trust's Stronsay Energy and Waste Matters project aimed to reduce waste and increase rates of recycling and energy efficiency. The project included opening a small recycling centre in the main village of Whitehall, plus a toolshare shed and a clothing swap scheme. Activities also included home energy efficiency advice and creation of cardboard briquettes for heating.

Restart Orkney sells good quality second hand furniture, household items and white goods at affordable prices, the profits from which go back into helping the local community. They also host upcycling workshops to encourage people to embrace a circular economy personally. Restart Orkney also has added community benefits by providing sustainable supported employment, training and volunteering opportunities for those with a barrier to gaining employment.

Bruckland SCRAN(Sensible Community Recycling At Northmavine) recycling centre is a place where surplus household goods can be left or collected or re-use, where scrap metal and waste plastic can be disposed of, and many a carbon footprint reduced.
