The primary aim of Greener Orkney is to reduce the Co2 footprint of the Orkney Isles. The secondary objective is to improve the environment in particular the seas around Orkney.

Crown Connects SCIO was established in 2020 as a COVID emergency response group; we are now a Scottish Charity, SC050700, regulated by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). We aim to develop projects to improve life in our Hill and Crown part of Inverness, bringing people and groups together to make positive changes to where and how we live.

The Kinlochleven Community Trust is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status and a membership body in the village of Kinlochleven in South Lochaber. Through land and facilities management, community development, education, and environmental projects the Trust aims to improve living conditions and opportunities for all in the village and ultimately, tackle inequalities that our village is experiencing (as shown on the SIMD).

Kilmallie Community Fridge and Cupboard has been set up to reduce food waste.

The aims of our group are:

Nairn Old Parish Church and Nairn Plastic Free Coastlines have formed an alliance to create Nairn Food Nest. Our first project is the implementation of a Community Fridge and we have recently received funding from Hubbub. Our mission is to ensure that surplus food is shared within our local community, by businesses and individuals. It will be a welcoming, social space that is open to all regardless of means. It aims to support community and household resilience, support engagement with food skills and wider food and environmental issues, as well as reduce waste at a community and household level.

Greener Orkney's Community fridge distributes excess food from supermarkets with the aim of reducing food waste whilst also reducing food insecurity.

A community resource that helps reduce food waste by sharing surplus of fresh food using the fridge.

The Helmsdale Community Larder is available for community members as a source of food supplies. Based beside the Helmsdale Community Centre it is open 3 days a week for access. 

The Community Bothy aims to reduce waste by distributing a surplus of frozen and packaged foods. The community bothy is open to anyone who can make use of it; opening times can be found on the website linked below. 

Supporting goodness in the communities - inspired by scripture to act on social injustice and inequality 

Helping to reduce waste and located in Inverness, The community cupboard is open from 8 am - 8 pm daily to help support the community. 

Aims to build community resilience by bringing people together to grow food,knowledge and confidence.

Reducing food waste and spreading kindness. The sharing shed has a community fridge and leader, which through the redistribution of surplus food, aims to reduce food waste in the Thurso area.
