Where?

Before he passed away in 2019, Brian Glaspell cultivated this garden for many years, donating the majority of the produce to the PT Food Bank, usually about 5,000 pounds per year.  In 2021,  Jeanie (his wife) was very happy to discover the Food Bank Growers organization and host the return of the garden's ability to provide for the food bank. Now, Aaron (Brian's son), Brianna and their three girls live at the Glaspell Farm and carry this tradition on.

This is a private garden which is operated by the Food Bank Growers.

Size: 6000 square feet

Gardening Style: Irrigated row & block cropping

Growing: Brassicas, lettuces, alliums, squashes, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, garlic, beets, carrots, herbs and flowers.

Serving: Brinnon Food Bank, with surplus going to all East Jefferson County Food Banks.

Supporters: Aaron and Brianna Glaspell, Amber Langley and Lindsay Kotzebue (FBG co-managers), FBG Volunteers

Work Days: Thursday, 10 am to noon
